Meet our 3yo Dolphins Educator- Faye Scott
How long have you been at Mentone Pre School?
This is my third year working as an educator for Mentone Pre School, but I’ve been involved with the pre school since 2015 when my eldest son started in 3yo kindergarten and I joined the committee - they basically can’t get rid of me!
What is your favourite colour?
My favourite colour is purple.
What was your favourite childhood movie?
I loved ET and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
What are your favourite children’s books?
I can’t remember the books I read as I was growing up, but I loved reading Room on the Broom and Stickman to my children. I also liked The Invisible String, as I think it helped me and my children to cope with separation anxiety.
What is a favourite memory from working at Mentone Pre School?
I love it when the children call me funny, or when they properly giggle with me, or when they keep asking for simple games over and over again (like ‘round and round the garden’ or ‘this little piggy’).
Do you have a favourite activity to do with kids at kinder?
My favourite thing is to read to children, I don’t mind if it’s to one child or the whole group! Other activities I enjoy doing with the children are sensory activities and songs on the mat for group time, or our spontaneous dance parties!
