Our little ones grow up so fast! One day they discover the joy of painting with feathers, the next they have learnt that blue and yellow makes green. We offer several ways to keep up to date with the latest ways your child has grown at kinder.
Additionally, our team are more than happy to discuss any concerns in more detail 1:1 at a mutually beneficial time. Please have a chat or send an email to arrange a suitable time.
Our team of educators take great care to record individual reports for every child in their own dedicated learning journal. Details include key learning milestones acheived, special interests observed as well as social interactions and relationships. Journals are located in the kinder lobby for parents and caregivers to refer to at drop off or pick up.
In addition to personal journals, our team also provide a group reflection book which provides a more general overview of key activities and learning outcomes within that group. Also available in the kinder lobby, these are a great reference point for our little ones to review as they develop their social relationships and get used to a group learning environment.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to take part in our stay and play program where they can spend 2 or 3 hours in the classroom with their childs' group to engage and observe. If members of our community have a special skill they can share, all the better! Past volunteers have offered dance classes, guitar-led sing-alongs and reading.
Please note that all volunteers are required to complete a working with children check prior to their visit.
