Absences should be reported via e-form within Audiri.

Once logged into Audiri, navigate to RESOURCES>FORMS and your childs' kinder group will display, for example 'Dolphins Absence Form'. Complete the necessary details and hit submit.

Absences may be reported in advance, where known, or on the day.

Note that certain medical absences may require a minimum exclusion period before a child may come back to kinder. See the Parent Handbook for full details.

If you wish to collect your child before 4pm due to an appointment or commitment please notify the teacher on the day so they can plan accordingly.

If you are running late, please call our office on (03) 9583 4422 if we are unable to take your call, please leave a message.

The following foods should not be brought into the building by any child or adult at any time:

• All nuts (including museli bars, protein bars & slices containing nuts)
• Peanut Butter or similar nut butters (almond, cashew etc)
• Sesame Seeds (anything containing sesame including hummus, tahini & sesame bars)
• Nutella hazelnut spread (including biscuits containing nutella)
• Eggs (eg whole boiled eggs, omlettes or egg sandwiches)
• Seafood (including tinned tuna, salmon white fish or shell fish)

• Backpack
• Water bottle
• Lunch/snack box
• One spare change of clothes that includes a top, pants/shorts, socks and underwear.
• If your child is still toilet training we ask that you please pack spare pull ups or nappies, wipes and disposable bags

Please label your child’s clothing, lunch boxes and water bottles so it can be returned to you if lost.

Send your child in clothes that are practical for play and you will not worry about keeping clean. We ask that in the warmer months, children wear clothing that covers their shoulders for sun protection. Coats and beanies are essential during winter months, as we hope to provide children with some time outdoors each day.

Thongs, crocs, heels and inappropriate footwear, which are dangerous when climbing or running, are not suitable to be worn at pre school.

Whilst we encourage our children to express their individuality, we also offer our families the option to purchase uniform items twice throughout the year: prior to the commencement of term 1 and prior to winter in term 2. Full details provided via Audiri.

Please do not send your child with any toys from home as they are easily lost or broken and can interfere with the childrens' interactions with peers. We provide children the opportunity to 'show and tell' special items from home on occasion.

We have a lost property box in the foyer near the hallway door where we put items that are not named. You are welcome to check this at any time.

If you happen to find something in your child's bag that does not belong to them please bring them into kinder and if they are not ours we can help you find their owner. 

A friendly reminder to please ensure your child's drink bottle, lunch boxes, jackets and clothes are all named so we can easily return them to you, including spare sets!

Drop off

Families enter through the front door, parents and caregivers must use the registration tablet in the lobby to register their child for the day. A PIN and QR are provided for each child and must be shared with all authorised parties to securely register a childs' arrival and departure for each session.

Our 3 year old Dolphins group have dedicated hooks to hang their belongings, labelled with their name and an animal icon.

Our 4 year old groups collect their photo from the lobby to fix above their chosen hook for the day. 

​Children are invited to add their drink bottle to the drinks trolley and their morning snack box to the snack trolley. Lunch boxes and backpacks with spare clothes should remain hanging on their hook.

Before heading outside to play, children should use the toilet and wash their hands.

Pick up

Sessions end promptly at 4pm. Our lobby is open for parents and caregivers to arrive in advance and register collection details via the registration tablet. 

This is a good opportunity to review reflection books, our noticeboard and collect artwork from your childs' pigeon hole.

Teachers will call out each childs name as their authorised person arrives to collect them. Families are requested to exit via the side gate to allow for a smooth departure.

If someone else is dropping off or picking up your child, please make them aware of the above procedure. Our policy requires an authorised person over the age of 18 to drop off and pick up your child.

Upon enrolment parents are required to nominate people authorised to collect their child. These people should be made fully aware of the drop off and pick up procedure.

To add someone to the authorised persons list please speak to your child's teacher or office manager.

NO PHOTOS should be taken by any parent, carer or family member at any time when on the premises, EVEN OF THEIR OWN CHILD.

- The staff will always do their best to capture photos of children for you on service issued devices, for which you can provide a USB to keep the photos at the end of the year. Please be considerate and take any 'special outfit' photos before you get to kinder or after hours, not on premises.

Only service issues electronic devices will ever be used to take photos or record videos of children on premises

- Only teacher issued ipads & the bush kinder phone will be used to take ANY photos of children.

Any photos or videos of children will be permanently deleted/destroyed at the end of each educational year.

- Per the current process, families will be able to provide us with a USB at the end of the year for us to provide you with all your child's digital photos, after this opportunity all photos & videos will be destroyed.
