Did you know that we have a recycling station in our foyer? 

We are committed to promoting an awareness of environmental practices in our programs, and demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability and taking care of our environment, by using recycled materials. We therefore welcome your donations of paper, boxes, cardboard cylinders, wool, fabric off-cuts, buttons, wrapping paper etc, all of which can be added to our free collage and construction table or used as loose parts in other areas of play; inspiring the creative minds of our children.

Please note – as a risk minimisation strategy for anaphylaxis and allergies, we do avoid egg cartons and boxes that have contained nuts, and for hygiene reasons, toilet roll cylinders.

Our little ones go through so much tissue!

We gratefully accept donated boxes of new tissues and toilet rolls. Please drop your donations to staff or leave in the lobby.

Mentone Pre School is registered with all donation partners for Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme. This means that we accept funds raised from the cans/bottles/containers that family members and community members collect and take to a reverse vending machine or local depot.

As a community owned and run kindergarten this is a great fundraising initiative while supporting our Sustainability Action Plan.
